About this Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engines and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. 

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • At least one year of related experience in diesel mechanics.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
    • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no suspensions or restrictions, except for prescription eyewear.
    • Within three years of employment, must obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications in brakes, steering and suspension, and heating and air conditioning for cars and light trucks (at a minimum required rate per year)
    • ASE certification required within one year of employment, with a valid and current license maintained
    • Must be insurable under the State of Oklahoma Vehicle Liability Insurance
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Must possess mechanical aptitude related to automotive mechanical theory and operation
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
    • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role
    • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, systems, and diagnostic tools
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy parts and equipment
    • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
