About this Position

Responsible for the preparation of hot and cold foods, including receiving, storing, cooking, garnishing, and presenting food. Follows standardized recipes for the catering department and ensures consistent quality in food production. Responsible for appropriately training employees assigned to the production area. Maintains general upkeep, sanitation, and safe operation of all equipment and workspaces. Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position with a schedule based on client needs and the catering schedule. The role involves heavy manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and over 50 pounds occasionally.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Serve Safe after hire.

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Able to read and follow written and oral instruction. Able to organize work and work area for most effective outcome. Operate appropriate equipment for the job. Know & practice basic safety & sanitary standards. Neat, clean appearance. Good communication skills. Work as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational/Technical

    Culinary

  • One year of food preparation work experience

    6 months to a year of catering experience
