About this Position
Responsible for sterilization of equipment and instruments. Responsible for wrapping surgery packs and laundry. Maintain equipment and supplies.Specifics:Preparing medical equipment and instruments for decontaminationOperating equipment to clean, disinfect and decontaminate surgical instruments, medical devices and equipmentInspecting instruments and equipment for signs of damage and wearUnpacking, checking and stocking new equipment, instruments and devicesDelivering equipment and supplies to all areas of the hospitalResponding to emergency supply requests during surgical proceduresMaintaining accurate records of sterilization, equipment, and costsProcessing laundry for all areas of the hospital according to specs
Required Qualifications
High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
One year of related experience. Attend online courses for Central Service Technical Training Certification from HSPA after hire. Must be able to read and communicate verbally
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand on ladder, stand for extended periods of time, stoop and bend, and work overhead and below waist level for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
High School/GED
Five years’ experience in a clinic or hospital setting. Obtain additional Certification in at least one area pertaining to Central Sterilization; Biohazards; InfectionControl.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
