Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, Friday 8:00 am - 5:00pm. This position will be regularly scheduled 9:00am - 6 pm with occasional variances, evenings and weekends.

About this Position
Assists Director with office operations and is accountable for office when Director is unavailable. Responsible for reconciling and maintaining campus accounts receivables and general accounting tasks to ensure proper internal controls are utilized and accounting principles are followed. Performs cashier duties daily and assists students, faculty and staff when needed.
Required Qualifications
Completion of some college or business-related courses with emphasis in Accounting.
2-3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping and/or financial atmosphere.
1-2 years cashiering experience.
1-2 years’ experience working in an office manager or related position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple priorities imposed by frequent deadlines, peak workloads, and public/student contact.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Accurate typing/data entry skills and demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and also collaborate within a team environment.
Exhibit problem solving skills beyond a set of instructions and adapt to changes when necessary.
Ability to make appropriate recommendations based on logical and justifiable reasoning.
Ability to use analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret written policies and procedures.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Experience and confidence speaking in front of students/customers.
Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in accounting or business preferred.
Experience with Accounts Receivables – specifically the process of reconciling accounts and internal controls.
Experience with multiple work assignments.
Experience in a high traffic position that involved cashiering and financial transactions with a high level of customer service expectations.
Previous higher education experience.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for Accounts Receivables with duties including, but not limited to:
Reconciliation of multiple accounts to ensure internal control and auditing compliance.
Research student history on accounts
Assist with cashier duties when needed, including, but not limited to:
Receiving payments
Cashing checks.
Daily balancing of terminal drawer.
Other assistance as needed.
Assist Director as needed with daily operations of office and various accounting tasks.
Maintain knowledge of and follow OSU and OSU-OKC policy regarding collection of student fees, student refunds, disbursements of financial aid and all other Business Office functions.
Banner data entry as required.
General accounting duties as assigned.
Assist students, faculty and staff as needed.
Assist with the Business Services email, by responding, forwarding, etc.
Completes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of two professional development each year.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
May be required to work extended hours during designated heavy enrollment time.
Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to handle a high-volume position with frequent movement from desk to counter.
Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking and listening.
Duties require extensive use of computers, telephone and other office equipment.
Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs. (If an object weights more than 45 lbs., OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
