$58,000.00 - $78,000.00

About this Position
The Assistant Director for Residential Learning position at Oklahoma State University (1) coordinates the overall educational and learning facets of the Residential Life program serving an on-campus co-educational population of 6,000+ students; (2) provides direction for student learning and the promotion of partnerships and initiatives supporting the academic success of residents. The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the residential life specialty staff positions, student leadership groups, and the living-learning programs. This is an 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday position with some after-hours work for student organization advising and events. At peak times during the year, the position requires evening and weekends. Tasks may take place at any time when a student or staff member requires the presence of the Assistant Director to resolve a particularly difficult situation or emergency. The assistant director serves as part of a crisis duty rotation and needs to reside within a 20 minute driving distance to campus. To remain updated on the latest techniques and programs in residence hall living, it is necessary to attend Regional and National conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's
Student Affairs, Higher Education, College Student Development/Personnel, or related fields.
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Three years of experience in residence halls, administrative experience, or other student affairs areas. Experience in student organizational advising.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Experience in residential life programs, working with student groups and program development.
Must be able to occasionally lift and carry office supplies, files, or packages weighing up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's
College Student Development/Personnel, Higher Education or related field.

Two years of experience in residence halls and student care/support.
