Campus Life’s mission is to enhance the student experience through intentional opportunities that promote belonging, engagement, and support. Student connection and support on campus positively contributes to a student’s sense of belonging and their collegiate experience, as well as their long-term personal and professional growth.
The Assistant Director of Student Support will oversee the support response for Student Support. Focusing on fostering a culture of care through management of incoming students of concern reports utilizing objective risk rubrics, supervision of the Student Case Management team, and coordinating outreach efforts and resource materials for the department and wider university audience. Our supportive responses include case management, administering Cowboy Strong emergency funding, and remembrance of students. This position serves on a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate student support through early intervention and threat assessment including administering appropriate risk assessments with students. The Assistant Director will oversee project management for the department, serve as a liaison with campus partners, lead campus task forces on various topics on an as-needed basis, conduct presentations to varying constituents and stakeholders, analyze data and trends related to student support cases, and compile reports.

Minimum of five years full-time experience in delivering case management services, one-on-one support services, community assistance programs, or directly related/applicable experience in a higher education, non-profit, or public administration setting.
High degree of personal/professional integrity, respect for privacy and confidentiality, and an understanding of ethics.
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and coordinate numerous detailed programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations.
The proven ability to collaborate successfully with multiple departments, constituents, or stakeholders.
5 years of full-time case management or support initiative experience in a nonprofit, higher education, or public administration setting.
NaBITA certifications
Demonstrated experience leading other professional staff and/or peers toward a common goal.
Prior supervisory experience.
Prior experience leading presentations and/or workshops to audiences of varying sizes, backgrounds, and lived experiences.
Working knowledge and training pertaining to Title IX, Clery Act, FERPA, Mental Health First Aid, and working with minors.
Knowledge of Maxient, Microsoft Office, and other systems pertaining to constituent relationship management.
