About this Position

Lead Employer Relations for OSU, which includes managing the employer relations team, overseeing all campus recruiting functions, maintaining a connection to academic colleges and their employer engagement efforts, managing fundraising efforts, engaging in local and regional workforce development initiatives, and overseeing other strategic initiatives. Serve on the leadership team within Career Services.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Three years of related work experience in career services or corporate recruiting.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Extensive knowledge of career services and/or university operations, including corporate business hiring and recruitment initiatives, policies and procedures used in hiring practices, as well as knowledge of computer technology and applications used for campus recruiting and job postings. Ability to deal tactfully with internal and external stakeholders including employers, faculty, students and staff, both individually and in group situations. Demonstrated skills in business management, employer relations, recruiting, and leadership. Experience overseeing marketing, development, and event planning related to campus career fairs and recruitment events a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking and tactical application. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's

    Human Resources, Higher Education, Business Management or Related.

  • Ten years of full time corporate recruiting or career services, and/or business management experience.

    Experience with the OSU Career Services central office.
