Job Opportunity: Career-Track Assistant/Associate Professor in Anatomic Pathology

Location: Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA

About Us: Join a vibrant team of passionate pathologists dedicated to excellence in diagnostic service, education, and scholarly activity at Oklahoma State University. We are seeking an Anatomic Pathologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (clinical track) to join our team at the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (https://oaddl.okstate.edu/) and Department of Veterinary Pathobiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Position Overview: In this role, you will combine your expertise in pathology with your passion for educating the next generation of pathologists and veterinarians. You will work alongside five collegial pathologists equally enthusiastic about their careers, as well as four anatomic pathology residents. Your primary responsibilities will include diagnostic service provision, instruction to Year 4 veterinary students during necropsy service, and resident training.

Opportunities: Collaborative research in infectious disease, microbial pathogenesis, microbiome studies, immunology, toxicology, and cancer therapy. Flexible assignment percentages tailored to your interests and qualifications. Professional development funding and research start-up package available. Up to 4 weeks of consultation work.

Requirements: DVM or equivalent degree. ACVP or ECVP certification or eligibility. ACVP or ECVP certification-eligible candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications

  • D.V.M. Pathology (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D./Ed.D.
