Job Summary
The School of Materials, Mechatronics and Manufacturing Engineering in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University is pleased to invite applications for a career-track faculty position of Assistant/Associate/Professor of Professional Practice in Mechatronics and Robotics (MERO). Candidates with industrial experience and a desire to teach students in mechatronics or robotics engineering are encouraged to apply.
This is a non-tenure track appointment with an emphasis on classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction. The applicant should have the ability to teach some of the following undergraduate and graduate courses: Fundamentals of Mechatronics, Mechatronic Systems, Industrial Robots, Robot Dynamics and Kinematics, Linear Control Systems for Mechatronics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Smart Manufacturing, Machine Elements, and Research Design & Methodology. Individuals with training and skills that complement and augment existing faculty expertise and have an interest in collaborative work are preferred. The faculty member will be located on the OSU Stillwater campus and will be asked to teach remote students on the OSU-Tulsa campus through Zoom and/or Canvas.

The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is the largest engineering program in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) and one of the largest departments in the university.
The School of Materials, Mechatronics and Manufacturing Engineering (MMME) houses four academic programs: Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), Mechatronics and Robotics (MERO), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) and Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) within the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT). With more than 225 undergraduates and 30 graduate students, MMME fosters collaborative and interdisciplinary research in the strategic areas of Materials Science, Mechatronics, Robotics and Manufacturing and a hands-on approach to instruction.
Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or M.S. degree in a field related to Mechatronics or Robotics including Mechanical Engineering
and Electrical Engineering is required along with excellent communication and organizational skills suitable for teaching undergraduate and graduate students is required. Industrial experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional registration, teaching and research experience at the university level, and three years of industry experience are preferred.
