Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Occasional OT, and twice yearly graduate commencement ceremonies.

About this Position

This position is the first impression representative of the Graduate College. The individual will be responsible for general office duties, manage the multi-line department telephone, and retain and distribute incoming mail and forms of a confidential nature. This position provides excellent, dependable service in the initial phase of assisting students, faculty, staff, and outside constituents.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Admin Support Specialist I - 1 year of clerical/customer service experience

    Admin Support Specialist II - 2 years of clerical/customer service experience

    Admin Support Specialist Sr - 3 years of clerical/customer service experience

    Experience should include positive interactions with the public, computer related skills, multi-line telephone skills.

  Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Customer service skills. Positive interaction with diverse populations that include internal constituents, faculty, staff, students, alums and the public. Manage multi-line telephone.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four years of customer service experience with progressive independence to carry out job responsibilities.
