About this Position
As an outreach component of Oklahoma State University, OSU Fire Service Training provides training and educational services that enable Oklahoma emergency responders to safely meet recognized standards of professional competence. Our purpose is to prepare Oklahoma's firefighters and other emergency responders to successfully meet the challenges they may be called to face in the performance of their duties. We invite qualified individuals to apply for the role of Administrative Support Specialist in our Certification Programs.
This position will provide administrative, clerical, and program support for certification, testing, and accreditation processes. The position plays a critical role in assisting with certification exams, maintaining accurate records, supporting accreditation compliance, and assisting with program events and communications. The Administrative Support Specialist also serves as a point of contact for students, evaluators, and staff, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Administrative Support Specialist I: 1 year of clerical/customer service experience.
Administrative Support Specialist II: 2 years of clerical/customer service experience.
Senior Administrative Support Specialist: 3 years of clerical/customer service experience.
Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Valid driver's license

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Strong organizational skill with ability to manage multiple task and deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's
Business, administration, or related field.
