About this Position
This position provides support to the Vice Dean of the Watson Graduate School of Management in the Spears School of Business.
Responsibilities:· Assist the Vice Dean with office operations including: travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and managing their calendar.· Serve as initial contact for all visitors to the Spears Dean’s Office in conjunction with other support staff.· Provide support to assist in allocating assistantships to the Spears graduate programs and scholarships to doctoral students.· Track and compile faculty research related activities and provide data to stakeholders. This includes Chair/Professorship reports, faculty research publications, and various award nominations.· Coordinate the logistics for Spears graduate program and research- related events/meetings including reserving facilities, meeting room and equipment; and booking caterers.· Provide support for the Spears Reappointment Promotion and Tenure (RPT) process including College RPT Committee activities, and Endowed position appointments/renewals· Provide support for faculty affairs in regards to accreditation standards for faculty qualifications, renewals, development, and associated activities. Coordinate curriculum management activities for graduate programs in Business.· Provide support to college-level doctoral program activities and initiatives, and other projects undertaken by the Vice Dean.
Required Qualifications
High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
7 years of experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for years of required experience.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Proficient with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Ability to present a calm, welcoming demeanor to all visitors. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to compose error-free correspondence. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field.
Previous administrative work experience in Higher Education. Previous experience with Banner and database programs.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Detail oriented, highly organized, and takes initiatives.
