About this Position

This position facilitates the efficient operation of the Hargis Leadership Institute by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks and supports the Director and the Endowed Chair through scheduling, organization, and other administrative duties.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Five years of experience in an administrative role. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience. 

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    •  Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    •  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    •  Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.  Ability to complete multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
    •  Strong supervisory, collaboration, and leadership skills.
    •  Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.  Able to keep expense reports on Excel.
    •  Social media proficiency.
    •   Flexible and adaptable in various situations and when interacting with many different personalities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's
    • Administrative support experience working with Director-level positions or above
    • Experience working with key leaders or executives
    • Expertise in social media
