About this Position
The Office of Academic Affairs is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of the office. This role is integral to ensuring efficient workflow and professional communication within Academic Affairs. Administrative Assistants perform a variety of essential tasks, including preparing memos, meeting agendas and minutes, letters, managing correspondence, and assisting with departmental events.

Answer phone calls and greet visitors in a professional manner.

Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and calendars.

Prepare and distribute communications such as memos, emails, reports, and letters.

Create and maintain filing systems (electronic and physical).

Open the office daily and ensure a welcoming and efficient front-office environment.

Assist with planning and executing events hosted by Academic Affairs.

Manage mail distribution and office supply inventory.

Respond to and screen incoming emails and inquiries.

Prepare travel documents in accordance with university policies and procedures.

Supervise and provide guidance to work-study students assigned to the office.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree

1-2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Strong verbal and written communication

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
