Oklahoma State University’s Department of Theatre seeks a dynamic and dedicated adjunct instructor to teach Theatre history before 1800 in the fall of 2026 and Theatre History after 1800, and Contemporary Voices of American Drama for the Spring 2027 starting August 2026.
The Adjunct Instructor teaches core courses in our BA and BFA in Theatre Arts programs. We seek a candidate capable of cultivating a deep understanding of historical contexts, dramatic theory, and inclusive perspectives in theatre, ranging from foundational world theatre history to the rigorous exploration of contemporary American playwrights. The successful candidate will be an intellectual anchor for our students, equipping them with the critical thinking, analytical writing, and contextual knowledge necessary to understand the stage across the full spectrum of performance.
