About this Position

The Department of English at Oklahoma State University seeks applications for part-time, non-tenure-track adjunct instructors for the Fall 2026 semester.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teach freshman composition or technical writing.
  • Must be able to teach during the day.
  • Must hold office hours and conference with students.

This position is contingent upon availability of funding. 

Required Qualifications

  • MA in English or related field or at least 18 completed graduate hours in English
    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MA in English, Rhetoric, Composition, or Technical Writing is preferred. Related degrees in Fine Arts, English Education, and Reading/Literacy may be considered.
    • Prior teaching experience preferred.
    • Experience using technology or a strong willingness to engage students through the use of technology is preferred.
