About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This position will facilitate learning for a custom an ACR program at a public high school located in Tulsa, OK.  Courses are based on ACR technology, including licensing requirements, safety, and tools. Commercial and residential a/c and heating systems, and commercial refrigeration. As well as, basic electrical properties, theories of operation of electrical components common to ACR systems and wiring and troubleshooting of basic circuits.  Courses will begin August 2025.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate’s degree in ACR technologies from an accredited university or college, or Certification from an industry recognized technical training program.
  • Other combinations of education and industry experience may be substituted for degree/certification requirements.

Experience

  • Five years of evidenced commercial ACR industry experience.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse constituencies.
  • Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
  • HVAC Unlimited Journeyman.
  • Preference given to an individual that is authorized to teach OSHA-30 construction industry.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to plan, organize and fulfill complex initiatives.
  • Computer skills to include electronic communications, word processing, and the ability to use specific software associated with the position are necessary.
