The Division is comprised of the Ferguson College of Agriculture and two state agencies: the Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. Position Details:

The successful candidate will join the finance team to provide financial services and complete financial related processes and tasks for multiple and specific units and departments as assigned.
This individual will support the Team Manager and team to prepare and review Departmental Reports, Departmental Account reconciliations, revenues analyses, expenses analyses, encumbrances analyses, and assist with Departmental budget development.
The successful candidate will perform accounting functions including accounts payable, invoicing, purchasing, and budgeting for both Grant and Departmental accounts.
This position will work with the department heads, faculty members, and staff on the status of Departmental accounts.
The successful candidate will also work with other finance team staff as well as other Finance and Business Operations staff within the Division.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's

    Accounting or related field of study

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • 1 Year Related Experience

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Communication skills:

    • Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English and prepare complex reports on deadline.
    • Requires interaction with supervisors, colleagues, students, alumni, advisory committee members and the public, using diplomacy, discretion, and independent judgment.
    • Computer skills: Must be demonstrably proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel), in addition to e-mail and Internet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with the OSU Financial system preferred; work history shows progressively responsible financial and supervisory-related positions. Also, experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
